rjs, thanks, nothing turned up on a google search and they appear ideal...
I have a BASI L2 coach but the next step on the BASI coach ladder would require passing the Eurotest which isnt possible for me. I am enjoying the coaching im doing so far and CSCF DL may be possible with some more training. I only enquire now as the BASI coach L1 was supposed to give us CSCF L1 equivalence but as of yet nothing has come through on that. I wasnt too bothered but if i want to carry on with the canadian system i may kick up more of a fuss about getting my CSCF L1 sorted...

skimottaret, What does Ross suggest ?
I have asked to be told dates for SSS L4 courses for next season. I'm never going to coach at a higher level than I do already but would like to learn more, so on one level I'm not too bothered if I don't pass. Is the Eurotest a prerequisite for the BASI L3 course or do you just need it afterwards to get the qualification ?
You could also PM paulhothersall he did APC1 followed by CSCF2. From what he said there was no paperwork involved though I guess CSCF may have emailed the APC1 trainer to check.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Not sure and thats a good point. I think it is a "module" and you can take the L3 without having the Eurotest first but I will check on this.
RG has been away for a while so i havent been able to chat to him about it but will do, its all a bit early days for me on this stuff but just mulling over whether it is worth perservering with getting the CSCF "certified" level. The DL course looks good and maybe next year depending on how things go this season.

skimottaret, the latest email I had on the CSCF paperwork said they think they do it once a year in November? So might get something through around then. I would have expected details on how to do the online test in advance of that though, if November is when they send the paperwork out.

skimottaret, afaik other than the EL under license by BASI, the future of cscf courses in europe incld andorra is under review. It certainly used to be poss to do in Switz, and http://myswisstrip.ca/ ran/run something in zermatt, and EL & DL were run in or near verbier last season, by (I think) the cscf itself. I seem to remember being told that Pierre Ruel himself has been over for the latter in the past, but am not sure.

skimottaret, the latest info I got today is that cscf have severed links with the guy who coordinated the running of their Levels 1,2 and 3 courses in Verbier. I'm also told that they no longer intend to allow CSCF courses to be run in Europe, but stress this info is strictly hearsay only. I think the operation in Andorra is pretty big and well supported so personally I wonder if this may actually be allowed to continue.

slikedges, interesting. Having done my CSCF through IA in Andorra it would be a shame if they lost the ability to run the courses. Very well run, well integrated with the ski school and the ski area and the CSCF last season was run by one of the top coach trainers there is.
