I have an income now that allows me to live almost anywhere.
Wouldn't it be nice to live next to the snow?
Other than housing, which I can see answers to with some work... a cost I can't seem to dodge is lift passes. One way or another I'd very much like to use lifts. You can get season passes... but I'd only be there one month at a time and then back to work for a month and I hear in general passes are less sellable now.
I'm prepared to pay a little bit extra for a nicer lifestyle but not prepared to be penniless.
Is there another way?
I'm considering this an an alternative to the option of moving somewhere next to nice surf.

jago25_98, most ski passes are non-transferable, but if you are skiing for a month at a time, a season pass will still work out cheaper, even if it is rnot used for a few weeks at a time.

Agree season passes are a pretty big saving even if you do a month on and a month off. For a lot of places (ours included), the season pass is not much more than the cost of 2 x 6 days (and if bought with the early discount, I think it's less).

Espace Diamant pass, bought in advance (November) costs the same as a two week pass. As in many places. It's negligible, compared to the big chunk of money it represents for a week's holiday.
