Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Child care in St Anton

Hi

Does anyone have any experience of good child care in St Anton for a 12 month old baby? There seems to be an option at a Mark Warner Hotel but i was wondering if anyone knew of anything else.

Ski Bat, last winter we stayed in Pettneu near St.Anton and the hotel arranged a babysitter for us. Worked perfectly. She was a local woman and came and picked up our two year old in the morning and took her home with her. She had some children of her own at about the same age, and our girl got along fine with everyone. I think most hotels in St.Anton will offer the same kind of service. Just ask.

Ski Bat, Ski Esprit do St. Anton, as do Crystal/Thomson. Both have childcare for a 12 month old.

I have no experience of either company's childcare but have just made the same decision myself and trawled the internet looking for recommendations/concerns on each company. I only found good comments on both, and nothing to worry me. I would have had a slight preference for Ski Esprit because the internet-review sample size is much larger, esp on Snowheads, and it seems that there will be more people on the trip in a similar situation to you.

By the way, when he/she's 12 months old, they won't be a baby, they'll be a "Boddler" (copyright marketing people at pampers)

Ski esprit chalets are based in nasserein, don't know if that influences your decision or not.
