Looks like the road through Serre Che is done, along with a completely random spattering of other places. If you zoom out you can see what's been covered - any road highlighted in blue.
Apparently the Google photo car has been spotted in London and other UK cities. I wonder how long it'll be until they pass a primary school/kindergarten and the Daily Mail get wind of it and explode...

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the Tour de France. Excellent feature though

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

That is an awesome feature! All very Minority Report isn't it... easy way of finding the resorts covered?

This is absolutely amazing.
Tonight I'm going to get ripped half-dead on Grimbergen and Jagermeister, and just wander around ski resorts on this thing, pretending that I'm really there.
The tragic thing is, I am probably actually going to do this.

paulio, are you in Belgium or Austria?
(ski-finder, enough Grimbergen and Jagermeister and he may well walk into furniture)

My abiding memory of AdH (and Serre Che for that matter) was a deadly combination of those two things, French though they aren't.

This is great - my OH is cycling up to Alpe d'huez at end of July ... in theory I could follow him every inch of the way from the comfort of my desk, whilst he puffs and strains. Very rewarding

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

My dad did it on a family holiday when we were younger... he loved it! But also said it didn't do the gradient any justice!

Google has selected the route of the 2008 Tour de France to present the premier images of the new service "StreetView" of Google Maps in Europe.

i had a nice little trip up to Vaujany and was also able to check on the Allemont tiger. sadly, it looks like it is an ex-tiger but the fare piste in vaujany looks in reasonable nick for so late in the season

Mr Davies of "Privacy International" should consider learning a little about UK law before trying to claim this breaches it.
There is absolutely NO lgeneral aw in the UK preventing photographs taken in a public place from being used for any purpose whatsoever.
There are some circumstances in which photos of well known people can be considered to be an invasion of privacy if published in conjunction with news stories about them. But even those are unusual.

I find it mildly amusing that people have been stopped for taking photos as could be a terrorist risk and even with the Google Maps you can see pretty much every potential target in the UK
