Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A new chair-lift in French resort of Saint Foy will double the amount of pisted terrain available. But while the local authorities present it as a move towards Saint Foy's lift system becoming cost effective, protestors think this is another step towards the ruin Sainte-Foy’s charm...

Saint Foy, for years referred to in hushed tones by the locals and instructors in the mega resorts of the surrounding area, was probably the place you'd find your Ski Instructor 'recouperating' from a sudden illness brought on by the shock of blue skies and powder in the morning.

Interesting that they are worried about the view from BstM. Madeye-Smiley and those irresponsible skiers at Les Arc that still ski in the reserve wink

Bit odd that - so what? From BsM you can see runs from La Rosière through Arc 1600 and Arc 1800 right over to La Plagne. A couple of even more distant splashes of white amongst the trees won't make much difference...

PS boredsurfin, those that ski in the wrong parts of the Villaroger reserve, and at the wrong times, are often from anywhere but Les Arcs Wink
