When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hackers target Kostelic

Young Croatian ski racing star Janica Kostelic, back on the road to fitness after 18 months of serious illness and injury, has had to contend with the attentions of a Serbian group who managed to hack into her official website today, replacing her photo with the image of a Serb fascist WWII leader...

Croatia recently banned a Partizan Belgrade basketball player from entering the country because he had a tattoo of Draza Mihajlovic on his arm - much hated in Croatia, and executed by the communists after the war...

This screen shot shows the site after being hacked, with both Draza Mihajlovic and the basketball player Milan Gurovic prominently displayed.

The hackers signed off: "Sincere regards from Serbia, the land of brave heroes and internet maniacs."

Janica finished in third place in yesterday's WC slalom in Austria, and is challenging for the overall title - a remarkable comeback after her long absence from the sport.
