Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Armada ARV's

Just thought I would throw up a quick review! Got them mounted a touch back with Rossi Free-ride bindings. Got the 175's for when there's a bit of pow and want to throw shapes off backcountry kicks/drops.

First day out was on the groomers/park neither of which this ski is particularly suited. On the grooms they were OK at medium speed, hold an edge fairly well, wouldn't trust them on freeze-thaw morning. Also at higher speeds they bounce about a bit-do not have ultimate confidence in them-then again they are not a piste ski.

First powder day was pretty epic. Face shots galore and these skis are wonderful in the pow real stable at speed and a real solid platform for anything a bit bigger. Nothing bigger than 15-20 foot but never disappointed on landing! Plenty flex so never found the tip diving in the deeper stuff-max waist deep.

3rd day out on them was a backcountry kicker day-could not have asked for more decent sized hit, feel great in the air solid on the landing! If the snow is not soft the ARV's are not happy at all which i'd say is their big flaw! Definitely a West Coast ski!

Rossfra8, Please don't take this seriously (I'm an old fart Toofy Grin ) but I can't help noticing that you've used a vast amount of "cool" terminology in your review dude Very Happy
