Poster: A snowHead

Anyone seen one of these 3D Maps thingies? Are they really practical when the snow is lashing down and you're lost looking for home and a nice place for a beer? I thought it might make a nice stocking filler for Mr HH.

MMMMMmmm - would like to see one 'in the flesh'. I have enough trouble refolding a 2D map never mind one of these. But at £3.50 worth trying as a stocking filler.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

homphomp, they were marketing them at Xscape MK when we had a meeting there in July. They folded reasonably small and I thought they looked OK and hoped that they were giving out free samples - no such luck. As KIan says, worth it as a stocking filler.

I saw one at the Ski Show. In my opinion no use up on the slopes, but an interesting novelty for looking at when you're back at your chalet.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I like the idea of using it to see where we've been in the comfort of the chalet....I've ordered one, will report back when we've tried using it to find our way around!

I saw one at the ski show and could not believe that anyone would buy such rubbish. Most (free) resort maps nowadays do a really good job of representing their ski area, particularly those that have individual areas detailed .
