Hi Snowheads,
I've GOT to make a decision today, I have the chance to join some friends, for e few days, in the resort of Villeneuve, Serre Chevalier, but the only accomodation I can find is in the town of Briancon, it is close to the lifts, supposedly 8 KM from villeneuve, but as I will be going on my own, I am worried that the links between Briancon and Villeneuve will cease to operate after dark, leaving me with the prospect of a very expensive taxi ride, or being stuck in Briancon, in the evenings, on my own.
Has anyone any experience or advice on this please ?

The shuttles from Briancon to the villages stop at about 6pm

Gluhwein Dave, I have walked from Briancon to Chantmerle and back for a night out. Villeneuve is only about another mile further up the road so if you get the bus up the walk back is not really going to be much of a problem (depending on skiing injuries and alcohol intake  )
