Poster: A snowHead

Is it better to buy the ski pass before leaving from the UK, or buy it when arriving?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

i brought mine out there no queues at ticket offices and plenty of them, the reps on transfer coaches were selling them for same price but none off them included the discount if you had student card which was about 40 euros,so my advice would be buy out there .

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Melted Snowman, I had no problems buying in-resort either. If you're buying for more than yourself, it's worth taking along either the others you're buying for, or a photo of each. Passports will do, but something larger is better. It's all RF electronic, but they scan a picture so the lifties can check if they're so inclined (I wasn't knowingly checked all week that said).

Melted Snowman, there won't be huge queues at the Monetier lift pass office. You can buy them there, or Mel can organise them for you if you want her to.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

At half past eight on a saturday morning there were no queues whatsoever at Chantemerle, and they just used to webcam to take a photo through the glass - took about 45 seconds altogether!

Melted Snowman, there is no webcam in Monetier office though (or there wasn't at Christmas) Passport or driving licence photo card will do. IF you do order online (and they will post the passes to the house), you don't need a photo. Student cards have to be bought at the pass office.

Melted Snowman, I should add that my experience was at the Villeneuve office in Place d'Aravet.
