I've got a Skull Comp with chinguard. It's lightweight for a full FIS spec helmet and the chinguard is very sturdy. I've used three or four different helmets and this one fits me the best, although that will vary from person to person. It does block out a bit of sound, but in bad weather I think it will do a great job at keeping you warm.

rob@rar, You forgot to mention the Barbie Make-up bag that the Helmet comes in.
Quality, protection & lightness are unsupassed.
Unlike most helmets, which rely on a Polystyrene liner for protection, POC use a carbon fibre shell like a motorsports helmet, so give much better protection with less bulk.

Oh yes, it also comes with a very fetching travel case which could happily double for a large make-up case. Scott really likes his, apparently...

beanie1, mine fits very well and is comfortable, but does make it a bit hard to hear with the solid bits over your ears....
A good place to see if helmets confrom is check out the bartletts catelogue. The main rule seems to be no vents or holes of anykind.
Whatever helmet you decide on I will donate my POC travel case to you if you want

beanie1, You need the Skull Comp for Racing, it's the only one of their range FIS approved. The POC Armour is pretty special too, much better than the Motorbike derived Dainese stuff, the POC Armour is designed for skiing. The Gloves are great too.
