Poster: A snowHead

snowball's earlier work on an alphabetical skier profile list has "snowballed" There is now a new system in place in the Apres Zone - you can read about it here. We chose to put it into the Apres Zone because it avoids making any details you enter too public - they are only visible to other snowHeads.

Good work Ian, but I'm with snowball in thinking now we've got a good system we need clear instructions, firmly stuck somewhere, to draw newcomers' attention to where they put/edit their own details and where they view other peoples'.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Once again the snowHead collective triumphs! Snowball got the thing started, I found a cunning method for generating a sorted pointer list and U suggested an index.
I did put instructions in the announcement thread above the data source thread and they seem to have worked - I added several new profiles to the index this morning, and I did drop this thread into the Piste to highlight the new system and changes. This can be bounced up every so often to raise awareness. The profile thread is entirely voluntary and really it is up to snowHeads to decied whether they want to put information on it.

OK Ian - I've had another look at your Announcement and the Sticky and together with your plan to bump this now and again, I reckon you've cracked it. Many thanks to all who've contributed to sorting this out. It was getting confusing for a while but it was worth waiting for.

Good job, Ian and whoever else was involved. A full index and being able to edit directly is a great improvement (though I did update most days... In future it's an extra job for you). Benedico vos mei filii.

Well done.
