Have done a quick search for this topic but there doesn't seem to much on it. Does anyone have a recommendations for Morzine restaurants or bars?
Many thanks

Restaurants - we like in no particular order:-
L'Etale - big choice
Combe a Zorre - great for meat lovers
Grillon - good local specialities
Tyrolian - great pizzas
Matafan - great for longer relaxed dinners
All above are mid price range (except Matafan) with good service and reasonably priced wines. There are heaps of restaurants in Morzine some better than others. In peak weks you need to book 2-3 days in advance for a table.
Bars - this depends on what you are looking for - not the best person for this as we only ever go to 1 or 2 of them!
Crepu - cosy good mix of locals and holidaymakers
Dixie - very pub like with lots of seasonnaires
Buddha - popular with the Brits
Irish Bar
The Tribe - new bar - small but has good wines

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Anywhere that sells Mutzig. You won't care what you're eating or know where you are after five pints..

tough crowd, check out http://www.ultimate-ski.com/uk/Ski_Resorts/France/Morzine/Restaurants_and_bars/index.html - only slightly out of date in that the Clin d'Oeil isn't really a pizzeria any more. It's still good though.
Dixie on Saturday night had about 200 hairy rugby players and 2 girls. Both of which were working behind the bar. Being married that doesn't upset me too much but my sharking friend thought the odds a bit tough.
Definitely second S&T's opinions but would add Le Chamade. Le Cafe Chaud gets mixed reviews these days - I don't think I can keep up to date with its ownership.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

DaveC, a tried and tested formula!
David Murdoch, that's a great help, many thanks for that. I think the booking advice might be useful - Feb half term never known for its empty slopes and emptier tables...

At Christmas we ate in the restaurant next to the ESF office in Montriond - don't have the name of the restaurant by me right now but it was absolutely fabulous and came in with drinks (& good wine) at a litte under 200 Euros for 5 heads.

We liked Etale, I think it was there that hubby had the most enormous plate of meat., it was incredible and the local dog seemed to think so too. and I vaguely remember the crepu bar as being pretty cool.
