Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi there,

I'm looking for some advice on what length and what ski I should be looking to buy/hire during my trip to the 3V's in March.

My details
29 years old
1.85m - 6ft 2"
110kg - 17stones
Happy carving about on all reds. Not too bothered about the steeps/blacks
Pop into the powder at the side of the piste, but not into trecking into the wilderness.
I have only ski'ed on standard hire ski's before, and found that I preferred a shorter ski (approx 179) over longer ones. Long ones just feel a bit detached from my control.
I would like to start jumping/playing in the park, but nothing too serious.

I have been doing a bit of reading/searching and thought the K2 Seth 179 might be a good all round hack.

Any help would be kindly welcomed.

I suggest trying some different lengths and models of ski while you're out there rather than deciding before you try. Shops usually let you demo their skis and then if you buy from them, they knock off the rental price.

The Volkl Karma's seem to be a particularly popular model to try. Smile
