Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

"Severe snow" forecast for Scotland

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
With big snowfalls predicted for the Scottish Highlands over the next 48 hours, skiers could be on the move this weekend. Whether lifts will go into action isn't clear. Watch this space for the latest updates, and check the situation on www.ski-scotland.com

Met Office forecasts are here: NW Scotland...NE Scotland

Tonight's Glasgow Evening Times says "Heavy snow causing hazardous road conditions around the Cairngorms and further north are expected.
Scotland's winters in recent years have been relatively mild but some forecasters say the coming weeks could be among the coldest on record."
At the time of posting this message the Met Office had issued a severe weather warning for northern Britain. A pick-up in temperatures is forecast for Sunday, so the opportunities could be short-lived just for the moment.

Good sites to visit for the local picture, and on-snow reports from those just back from the hills, are www.winterhighland.com (especially their forum) and www.highland-instinct.co.uk (which also has a forum)

If you're up and sliding on Cairngorm, The Lecht, Glenshee, Glencoe or Nevis...or maybe some interesting back-country...let us know!

So, Scotspeople, did it happen? Are you all snowed in and relying on helicopters for survival?
Or is it the usual slush, mush and mud?
