Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

How late is late?

Wanted to get your opinions, I'm planning 2 trips this year (1 has been booked) - the 2nd being a 4 day trip. Given my first trip would be for a week on 2nd week of March, I'm thinking Cervinia from April 17th to 21st.... What do you guys think? Am I pushing it a bit too late in the season?

Where would be best to go that late in the season?

Should be OK I think - seasons have been getting later. Obviously go high - the higher the better (Val Thorens is the highest) though further East in the Alps you can go relatively a bit lower.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I did cervinia a couple of year ago over easter which IIRC was around 13-17 of april. Had a great time...bit slushy at the bottom but fine furher up. Even had snow on the saturday so freshies on the sunday. Nipped over to zermatt on a couple of days to add variety - the last 100 yds of the run into town you had to walk but apart from that all good.

I'd definately go if I was you. in fact I might be termpted to do the same myself...

13 -17 April ? The season will have only just got going by then !

I'm just about, spouse permitting, to book a Cham trip with the boys during the last week of the season in May.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I'vee done Verbier on/around 20th April for the last two years and it has been fantastic. ALright, all the runs aren't open but you're skiing in a t-shirt and getting a great tan. This time of yearr has a whole different feel to it.

I'd highly recommend it!
