Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
I'm pretty new to skiing - I'd rate myself as level 5 coming on 6 on this guide http://www.insideoutskiing.com/level.html
I've got a group of friends and we spent a week in Courmayeur this Feb. It was my first years skiing but I picked it up quickly. However, they're all a few weeks ahead of me and I struggle to keep up. We've got another week planned in Feb, but thought it might be a good idea to get a early week's practice in to get me closer to their level.
So I'm looking for a group/individual that's around my level and looking for an extra body.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It sounds like you're in the same situation I was in 5 years ago. Take lots of of lessons and get in some practice between lessons and you'll be catching up with your friends pretty soon.
^+1^ for the PSB. Great tuition and plenty of good company. There will be a wide range of skiers from near beginners through to experts.
I can also vouch for the InsideOut coaching on their holidays if you're ready for them.
If neither of those work for you then there are plenty of other options through specialist firms, alternatively just find a group and book lessons yourself in resort.

Hi nick9one1,
Having a catch up week is a good plan as it lets you learn at your own pace, but still ski with your mates later in the year.
If you are happy to travel alone then we offer rooms with no single supplements in our Chalet Campanules.
For dates which are likely to have other solo skiiers it might be worth looking at the short break on sale for pre-Christmas (20-23rd Dec) and the first week or Jan (6th - 13th) which has another snowhead reserved.
Happy planning!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

nick9one1,
You could do a lot worse then book on the inside out trip to Meribel in early December... I went on the trip last year and have booked for some more punishment, and there are several other 'returnees' and fellow snowheads booked in already. If you're worried about whether you are at the right level then why not book in for one of the sessions at Hemel, perhaps the summer ski plus event on the 1tth august, and get rob/scott to review your standard, the odd clinic indoors between then and Merible and you'll be all good.
FYI - my only association with inside out is as a satisfied client, who's skiing has improved more in 2x holidays and 3 or 4 inside days than it did "doing a season"
