Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hiya! In France, Alpe D'Huez, Megeve and Les Arcs would be worth looking at. Flaine is good for beginners but doesn't have much aprez ski

The best nightlife is to be found in Austria, but it's not ideal for beginners.

Hi Mouse,

Try Livigno, Italy. Apart from a lousey transfer, its a great place to stay. Two mountains, great for beginners and the whole resort is duty free!

I know, as a sensible adult- aged just a few days off 968- i should not be advocating exess, but a litre bottle of Bud for under a quid is bound to make the budget go a long way.

Enjoy.

That's an extremely busy week in France. One of the other countries might be a better bet. Do you have flights booked? If not, any chance of finding a quieter week. For a beginner snowboarder, lift queues and having to cram onto the seats is really no fun at all. It's also a pretty expensive time.

Hmmm, I would have thought that beginners could adapt to the nightlife fairly quickly Wink

Arosa in Switzerland, take the gondola up to the first station, easy wide pistes, not too busy, down load on gondola too back to the resort, easy to get to from Zurich on a charming mountain train which stops at the gondolas station. i went there as a newish boarder and it was fine Very Happy

Mouse, welcome to snwoHeads snowHead

Picadilly, why would you say that Austria isn't ideal for beginners? Firstly that seems a very sweeping statement about a country, and secondly I'd disagree completely!

I learnt to ski in Austria so I would diagree totally that is is not suitable for beginners. Austria has plenty of resorts suitable for beginners...it doesn't begin and end with St. Anton you know!
