When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Herminator to skip Worldcup races at Adelboden

Hermann Maier is not going to race in the Alpine Ski Worldcup men's Giant Slalom at Adelboden (Switzerland) on Saturday. He has reportedly decided to skip the races (Giant and Slalom) to prepare for the Downhills scheduled for Wengen on January 11th, and two other speed events (Downhill and SuperG) in Kitzbuhel (Austria) on January 18th and 19th....From: http://www.snowtime.com/pubb_EN/news_ext.php?id=240&cat_id=1

Probably a wise move on his part. Would love to see him win another race after his determination not only to come back from his injuries years ago, but to keep going. Surely this will be his last season? He has to win the Kitz DH. snowHead
