Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Driving to Austria this year for two weeks skiing in resorts new to us.
Will stay first week in Mayrhofen trying out Hintertux, Mayrhofen, Zillertal Arena and Hochzillertal in the Zillertal Valley.
The following week we will move to Silvretta Valley and stay in Mathon, hoping to try out Galtur, Ischgl, Kappl and even drive a short distance to Serfaus.
Any tip or thing we should be aware of these two areas? Like attractions or things to watch out.
Will any snowhead be around? Just the wife and I in a large 4x4 so we can assist in transport.
We got snow chains, which didn't get used for 5 successive seasons so far, and just put on two new all-season tyres for the trip. Winter tyres are very hard to get in UK for our vehicle wheel size so we settle for the all-season tyre claimed to be about 60% of the Winter tyre performance.
Our route is via Newcastle/Amsterdam and have to do the usual 625 miles in the first day.

Once you get to Mayrhofen ditch the car the transport around there is great. Ski bus to the glacier and the train to the other resorts is typical of Austrian efficency! If you are renting skis use
