Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I love the knowledge of youtube commenters. That last video someone stated very knowledgably that the lift is in LDA. Or is it the Leissiers Express in Val D?

Looks like the one in Val D to me.

The lift passes over the summit, doesn't stop but and descends on the other side. The moment of pass the summit is a rare sensation of plunging down hundreds of feet.

The video can not reproduce this scary moment. Go out to experience it yourself. Espace Killy, Val D'Isere, Chairlift Leissieres refers

I think the scary bit comes from the lack of prior/regular experience.

When one is hoisted upward one is seldom dropped downward in the same move, unless one is on a roller coaster.

On one side a person is getting closer and closer with the mountain but overshooting the summit he/she is suddenly a few hundred feet apart from the same mountain. Can't think of a situation that produce a similar experience.

Looks a bit lame to me on that video, now the real 'scary chare' is the one in ADH that goes under the runway and across to the 'signal' sector - the feeling you get when you drop down the side of the sarenne gorge is erm... particularly if you don't do heights..

What happened to the kid? Why hell did he squirm like that, and why didn't they just manually roll the chair in :s

As for the chairlift, why is it scary? Seems fine to me :/ The video of the guy supermanning off teh grind box is hilarious Very Happy
