So, when I buy my lift pass, which pocket should I keep it in?
I am right handed, but the pass reader is on the left of me at the bottom of the lift....is this the same in all countries?

I keep mine in my right-hand glove - my gloves have pockets in the back of them.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I don't think it's the same even throughout a single resort - certainly we have them both sides round our way. I keep mine round my neck, under my mid layer, on a secure elastic. It's surprising that you still see people with them flapping in their faces, even though the machines can read the card through clothing!

All the hands-free systems I've seen have had readers on the left. That's not a huge sample size, but nevertheless I keep my pass in left sleeve or hip pocket.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Most of the pockets in jackets for lift passes are on the left too, which suggests to me that the left is standard

I'm almost positive that at least one poma in Serre Che has the reader on the right. I remember that lift well, thanks largely due to its upward-sloping icy queue

I keep mine in my rucksack, great enjoyment to be had by holding everyone up whilst i remove my gloves and rumage around till I find it. Then of course it takes time to put my gloves back on ....

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I normally get two passes, one for each side saves any hassle.

mark_s, don't know which lift that one was then, all on the left as far as I can remember.

You know it makes sense.

I could be wrong; this was about 5 years ago and my memory might be playing tricks on me...

Mickey...tiny poma beside Aravet. I could have sworn it had the lift pass reader on the right when I was there. Like I said though, it could be my memory playing tricks
