Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

HI to all - I'm new to the Forum

Q. I'm looking to do a short weekend break to Morzine in February

Does anyone have any reccomendations for places that do short stays

anything will do - just scouting the area with a view to a long term stay

Chris S, have a look at www.snowandtrek.co.uk - I haven't used them myself, but they responded to a posting I made so I had a look at the site. I think I'd be happy to stay there if I hadn't already done Morzine & Les Gets to death! wink

Hi, try www.actionmountain.com great for short breaks. They are based in St.Jean so they give you easy access to Morzine,Avoriz etc. We generally take 6.30 am flight on a Thurs from Luton and are skiing by lunchtime, then back Sunday night !! Well worth a try.

snowandtrek hangs out here and will probably be along shortly.

You can also look at www.skimorzine.com, www.mozinelets.com or www.skiblueridge.co.uk (in Les Gets).

But, personally, I'd go with Vicky and Adam at snowandtrek. Lovely people and both good skiers, they know the area really well and are both very good skiers if you can get them to show you around.

Chris S, Hi chris, I had a 4 night ski weekend last year at the Hotel Renardiere.... was OK.... cheap and cheerful, and you can book by the night... decent breakfast rooms functional...
