Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I have a Dakine double wheelie bag, which is absolutely massive. I can fit skis, boots, poles, and all casual plus ski gear in this for a week.
Now that is usually fine on a week's tour operator holiday as it can be tarnsported in the buses they have and it fits.
I'm planning to do lots of weekends this season and that's going to involve a varying range of transport from:
- random bus to resort
- train
- rented car
- minibus
- maybe taxi transfer although this is more expensive.
I doubt the Dakine bag will git in all of those especially the taxi options.
Anything else I should consider for short weekend trips maybe just a ski bag or do all taxis out in ski areas have roof racks? If so, maybe something that's waterproof?

You can get skis into pretty much any taxi - you put the front passenger seat as flat as possible and stick one end of the bag into the space for the passenger's feet. It's a squeeze to get more than a couple of people in the back after all that though
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yep, most weekends would be me and at least 1 other person, including them with a snowboard.
I'm thinking unless they have roof racks, a bus transfer is the only way to go. I imagine the bus transfers to resorts are proper buses with luggage space aren't they and not the in town stand up variety.
