Apart from the fact that they ski short and you should get them about 10cm longer than what you'd normally have, is there any difference in how a twin tip skis to a normal carver?

They throw up a good "rooster tail" to deter those following from getting too close.
It's safer when riding switch.
Err, can't think of owt else.

Usually (but not always) more freestyle/park orientated than other skis. Useful for skiing switch, but a pain in the a4se as you often have to split them to go into gondola slots. I used to have a pair of Rossi twins but ditched them for something else:- I don't ride switch very often (not on purpose anyway!) and wanted something stiffer for some hardcore piste carving action.

I have to split my FR's most of the time for gondola's but it's no problem & it has the benefit of reducing the number of people in the gondola.
The benefit of the twin for me is the easy of reversing when mountain goating etc.

boredsurfin, how?
Surely the fact that you have twins will not make 360's easier. Switch 360's however..

COs they're too wide? Why not just stick them in the board slots

No, cos the tips go opposite directions meaning the slots height is too narrow...
