graeme, That picture of the bindings.......I assume from their design that you don't use an alpine/ordinary ski boot (like most of us have? Do you tip them on their edges like skis to get round corners?

You ski them the same as skis. As with skis you can ski them badly or you can ski them well. It's great to see someone ski them well, with great edge angles, impossible tight turn radius, etc. But it's a bit depressing when you see them skied badly, with turns starting from the shoulders, pushing hells out, etc.

Megamum, You use the same boots you ski in, the bindings clip to the boots but are designed to not release and therefore do not have ski brakes either.
|

Megamum, Ordinary Alpine Ski Boots, you clip the heel in first, then pull up the lever to lock the toe in. They don't release if you fall.

i am using alpine touring boots this year, scarpa denalis, you can use ordinary alpine boots in them also though, as has been mentioned

the ice perv, i am getting them from skiboardsonline, having them shipped direct to the hotel i will be at in the states. free shipping and no customs charges, i call that a result. with bindings i think they where £230 ish, i am loving the weakness of the $$$$ at the moment
