The glaciers; hintertux, stubai, etc. Then there are the ones like Schlamding (1850m iirc) which are already open!

We've had 3 trips over New Year to Austria, and we're off again this year between 27/12 and 6/1. Previous trips have been to Finkenberg, Saalbach, and Kaprun, and this year we're going back to Finkenberg. We've never had problems with snow cover, except for last year when a late season (3rd w/e in March) run to Kaprun left us skiing on the glacier for the whole time because the runs in town and in Zell am See were either green or slushy from 10am.
Looking at the forecasts for the next week, and if there's no sudden burst of high temperatures, every resort in Austria will be opening early with 50cm+ of snow by the middle of the month... while everywhere in France will be green and warm
