Snow Reports
FAQ
Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I have had a good trundle through the forum and am after decent english speaking tuition for the wife and mum in law over the xmas period. Also can anyone point me in the direction of the ski hire shack and maybe a few prices.
Many thanks
Chris

If your wife and MIL can ski to Vallandry (blues from Arc 1800) then
New Generation
are very good. If you want a ski school based in Arc 1800
Arc Adventures
are the 'international' ski school and should offer tuition in English (although I've heard of one bad report of low quality instruction from them). You can get 5% discount on Arc Adventures (and ESF) from
this link
at MySnowSports.
The ski hire places in Arc 1800 seem much of a muchness to me, so maybe choose the one closest to your accommodation? Intersport offer discounts if booked online. There is an Intersport in Galerie des Villards which is fairly close to the place you're staying -

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Just seen your edit - if you are travelling for Christmas I'd recommend you book your ski school asap. I know that NewGen are booking up quite quickly.
