Poster: A snowHead
|
Recent threads have discussed the stealing of skis. This of course is disgraceful behaviour. What reeeeeeally annoys me however, is when you stop at, or pass through an area where people have clicked off the skis and left them flat on the floor cosz they cant be a***d to stand them up or rack them. I propose that it should be classed as good ski etiquette to ski over the tops of such items.
I did this when leaving the ski school meeting area in Courchevel last year. Got shouted at but returned with interest

Frosty the Snowman, nothing wrong with leaving them like that, depending on the location. Sometimes there is no choice anyway. And remember - the laugh is on you - it's your bases you're ruining! I don't care two hoots whether there's a scratch or two on the top, makes them less nickable

PG, Doesnt bother me either, I always rent . There are different scales of this abuse. Several pairs of skis can be edged and placed neatley, Its when they are flat on the floor generallyabout 18" apart that really bugs me

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Frosty the Snowman, best not ski in Italy then - no racks and no one gives a toss about obstructing the piste. Lunch rules!

Maybe you don't really need to ski where skis have been left! Can't you find a better place to ski? Why do you want to ski over other's boards? That's lame.
