We're going to be there on the 16th January for 10 days. Four of us (two boarders, two skiers), all like a drink!
I'll get in touch nearer the time. Where are you staying? We're at the Jasper Inn.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Just notice your location is Bury. I take it that's Bury in Lancashire. Two of our party are from Rochdale!

Yes we're on the 9:30 flight too. It'll be my third time to Jasper, we were there over New Year this year (wouldn't go at that time again though).
Love the place.
Ski school in Jasper isn't normally an all day affair (we had two of our party in ski school this year). It was two hours a day either morning or afternoon. Our ten year old was on her second year and we didn't think this was enough. She's not going with us next year, it's adults only.
We'll will definetly meet yhou in the D'eg Dog Pub one night! (Mind you how old is your daughter because they are very strict about minors in pubs over there, so we may have to pick somewhere different - we'll discuss nearer the time)

does anyone know if kids (12 years old)are allowed in any bars in jasper, its just when i took my son to fernie (stayed in the super 8 motel) we couldnt get in any bars any time of the day, does anyone know which hotels let guests children in the bar... cheers cos you need a good pint after a good days boarding.

Can't say I've ever seen kids in a bar in Canada though they are obviously allowed in slopeside restaurants/apres venues. Hotel type bars which have restuarant sections probably a better bet than pub type places.

This is the list of bars that children can't go in (as supplied by Inghams to me last year)...
Atha-B Nightclub (Athabasca Hotel)
Champs Pub (Sawridge Inn)
De'd Dog Bar and Grill (Astoria Hotal)
Earls Bar (the restaurant is fine)
The Emerald (The Fairmont)
Fireside Lounge (Marmot Lodge)
Jasper Inn Lounge (Jasper Inn Hotel)
Mountainvire Lounge (Amethyst Lodge)
Nicks Bar
O'shea Lounge (Athabasca Hotel)
Skyline Lounge (Lobstick Lodge)
The Rooftop at JPP (Jasper Pizza Place)
Whistle Stop Pub (Whistlers Inn)
We used Walters Lounge at the Sawridge Hotel, which seem to tolerate it.
Otherwise the best bit is to find one of the restaurants, order a starter (nachos etc) and then you can sit and have a drink or two (or three). I don't think in winter you would have a problem in Jasper doing this as the restaurants don't tend to get full and they need the business.

See you then.
We normally try to get a drink in at the bar at the bottom of the ski hill prior to getting the shuttle bus back to town. There are no restrictions on children there.
We'll sort something out.
