When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well it was a difficult year of filming on the Apocalypse Snow - le Retour which probably explains why so much of the footage is "off snow" in this preview.

A quick recap if you missed the last three episodes. They tell the story of a post-apocalyptic world where two rival tribes of riders fight over “le secret de la glisse”.

Apocalypse Snow is back

The story picks up with an Arthurian theme complete with a lady of the lake (the fairy of the mountains) then quickly plunges into the usual frenetic snowboarding, skiing, speed flying, base jumping, parascending sequences. There is even the Zorb but no mono-skiers, so far. Filming will now complete during the 2008 season snow permitting, for some extensive ski and board footage. Nice to see David Horsley stunt doubling in the monoskiing sequence.

Great stuff. Tweed breeches, long woollen socks, wooden skis. You didn't need high-tech to have fun.
