Be good to meet up with you guys.

Not the thing with the ears, although with that in tow we would have no problem recognising you
Anybody any suggestions as to the best place to meet, say around 1ish?

Sarah and I are probably going on the Saturday - assuming we can brave the crowds with a 9-month-old baby in tow.

Linds, Disaster! I may have to take Rosie up to Worcester for a special party. Alistair ("he's not my boyfriend") is having his 18th bithday party. Lots of sex, drugs, booze and gladioli no doubt, but c'est la vie (I'm just jealous I wasn't invited).

Nadenoodlee, Linds, I did think of the train, but I thought she would have to change once or twice getting from London to Worcester . (I bet you can't even find it on the map). And of course, I am a silly softy over-protective dad. But, actually, there are direct trains . So, I could make it to the show after all. Are you coming Nade?

If anybody wants to meet up tomorrow what about by/around about the SCGB stand (as you come in the main entrance) at about 1430, too many bars so could get confusing. Apologies it is only place I could think of

So did anyone go today - what did you think of it? We were thinking of going along tomorrow but it does seem a lot of money and I know what'll happen, we'll get there and say, is this it??
Did you meet by the SCGB stand and did you ask them what happened to the forum?

We went and , it was ok but...
I guess it was nice to wander around and see what's on offer but it seemed smaller than last year and, unless you're looking to pick up new kit then I'm not sure it's really worth it.
I missed the 2:30 meet up and didn't spot anyone I rcognised from the photos that have appeared so I guess I'm destined not to meet fellow snowheads in the flesh!

I didn't make it, but I know Lindsay and WTFH did, coz Linds texted me how they were relaxing with a few beers as I was doing my umpteenth taxi trip for my kids.

It was quite good fun, albiet quite small this year.
Met up with linds, fox, michelle spyderjon, phin etc - better than the show itself...
Talked to a few exhibitors who told me the show moved to one floor only this year (albeit a bigger one) because they found that last year, on 2 floors, all the punters stayed on the ground floor and never went up the stairs ! One chap reckoned that his stall on the upper floor only had a few hundred visits over the 10 days, whereas a sister stall downstairs had several thousand !
Result of this was that a lot of stallholders told the organisers point blank that if the show was on a split level again, they wouldn't be there.
Did buy some boots though

Jonpim, I was going to go, but as my family are useless idiots who insist on driving everywhere, we were stuck in traffic for ages and by then I just wanted to go out, so I went to see some friends in Kew and ended up out in London instead.

It was our first Olympia show & we thought it was pretty good (certainly when compared to B'ham last weekend which was dire). It was certainly a good place to shop if you have something specific in mind.
The freestyle guys in the London Ride qualifiers at the end of the day were excellent. The Sunday afternoon final should be something to see.
It was good to meet Foxy again (for a quick chat re Epic Ski in Jan 06. Advance planning or what!) and to meet Linds, Michelle & Austin7 - they were still pretty sober when we saw them.
And managed to source the Spyder liner for my jacket so overall a good day out.
