Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Austrian B&B / Hotel Recommendations

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

I'm starting to try and organise a weekend for a group of friends, about 6-8 people. We've tentatively decided on Austria and a long weekend of Fri 8th to Mon 11th Feb 2008. Fortunately it's outside of the UK half-term but still at the start of peak period. Can anyone recommend a hotel or B&B that would take a long weekend booking at that time of year? Somewhere in or close to one of the medium sized or larger Austrian ski resorts?

Thanks,

Jack.

Jumpin Jack, http://www.steinerwirt.com/ will get you in one of the nicer hotels in Zell Am See. Nearly in the centre of town, and only 5 mins walk from the main lift. Zell is a fantastic town, and one of the most picturesque ski areas anywhere IMO. They will take weekends, as we stayed there for 3 days this Jan/Feb.

Try the resorts' official websites. They usually have accommodation listings.

Also, plenty of major UK tour operators organize ski weekends now. Try crsytalski.co.uk, the number one player, as a starting point.

Bode Swiller, old joke time:
Two dyslexic skiers at the top of a run. The first one said to his mate, "Come on then, let's Zig Zag all the way down."
His friend replied, "No, no, you've got it wrong. We should be Zag Zigging down."
"It's Zig-Zag" said the first.
"No it's Zag-Zig" argued his mate.
Then they saw a guy on a sledge waiting to take a run down the slope. They asked his opinion on their dilemma.
"Is it Zig-Zag or Zag-Zig?"asked the first skier.
"I don't know, I'm a tobogganist" he replied.

"Oh, ok" said the second skier "Can I have 20 Lambert & Butler and a Daily Mail please" rolling eyes rolling eyes rolling eyes
