Poster: A snowHead

Not that I am intending to go night-skiing, but the headstraps on my Petzl head torch have perished - and having a frugal streak, I would like to to replace just the straps - not the torch. Anywhere I can get this stuff by the metre?
PS, maybe not night sking, but I have seen head torches being very useful when the lighting broke down in a bar

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Nick try your local fabric (dressmakers) shop or possibly a local market stall they often have similar if not identical materials to what you need, take in the old headband and ask them for their advice, if they don't have what you need they may well know somewhere that does

I havent looked in earnest yet but I did think of that Im just dissapointed with a company like Scott who make the goggles with detachable straps but wont allow you to buy replacements cos they want you to buy new ones, a bit short sighted because Id buy a different brand.
