Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Are you a Bad Lieutenant?

Unfortunately, you cannot link straight to the relevant bit and so you have to click on the pic saying Snow 2005 and then on the pic saying 2005 Helmets, then on Bad Lieutenant and then (to see the full glory) on the green or camo colours.

would you wear it?

well not the camo version, but the neutral ones possibly.

Haven't found a helmet that fits properly yet.............. rolling eyes

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

so you wouldn't have a soft packet of Lucky Strikes or Marlboros taped against the side to get that genuine Full Metal Jacket effect??

actually I'd be concerned about the pronounced lip on the helmet - i know of one person who swears that his climbing helmet (with a similar lip) made a fall while ice climbing worse when he was sliding down an icy slope and the lip dug into the snow and wrenched his neck awkwardly. guess it's not likely to happen often though.

Didn't look that hard into, just thought the design looked a tad different. I see what you mean about the packet of Marlboros....... Laughing Laughing really would be full metal jacket...........all those famous lines come flooding back........Private Pile......$10...... Laughing

Only helmet i've found that would fit was some £190 carbon fibre jobby, that i tried on at the daily mail show last year........slightly out of my budget.

my girlfriend has a slightly obsessive female friend who signed off on an e-mail recently with "love you long time". Unfortunately, she was not being ironic or making a film reference!

I have the Red Remix, which fits me perfectly. Others I tried in the Red range were excruciatingly painful just standing in the shop and so it is a matter of trial and error. The Giro Nine gets good reviews. Have you tried that?

Laughing was it addressed to you Shocked

Don't know what i've tried but scoured the daily mail exhibition last year, and Courmayeur, Val D'Ispere & Sauze and didn't find one that fitted well or that would be bearable to wear all day. There was possibly one but they didn't have it in exactly the right size and i think that was a Giro, didn't want to order and have to send back if it wasn't correct. Also when i went to MK during the summer they didn't have any there in the shop next door as i thought i'd buy one, but ended up having to use some sweaty horrible used one they rent out for free - you have to use them if going to try the rails, jumps etc which didn't fit too badly actually.

Hopefully find one this week in Southampton at the ski show, no decent shops down here that have any in stock Confused

I have the Nine.9 and I really like it. The removable ear flaps and venting make it ideal for those sunny days.

Dan, don't know if you know Southampton well but the distributor for the Giro stuff is based in Northam - rang them up last year and they said I could go round to their office and try on some helmets. Didn't take them up on the offer as I found the right size in TSA.
