Poster: A snowHead

Snow cover was excellent right down to resort although south facing lower slopes get slushy after lunch. The White Circle was open plus a challenging ski route from the top of the Rufikopf which I do not remember from past visits. There is a new icebar at the top of the Schlegelkopf chairlift - www.frozenlech.com - which definitely deserves a visit. The local deer are fed every night by the hunters and it is now possible to walk up to the woods and watch this from a hide. Will post some photos soon.

skilegs, great photos and thanks for the info on the bar, might have to give it a try as we've had a few drinks in the Queenstown ice bar in New Zealand and loved it

Give Lech my love. We didn't go this year and I miss the luxury!!!!!!! I think we might go in the summer and do some hiking. Don't forget to ski at Sonnenkopf.

Same for me as rob and sharon,
Sunday 18th was sunny. All pistes/lifts open but a little slushy by afternoon. We then had 6 days of almost uninterrupted snow, perhaps 2-3 feet at village level, much more higher up.
Wish i was there now that the sun has come out!!!!!

Julieanne, was really good after the sunday as that is when the weather front came in and we had some decent conditions (according to the hotel it was the best week they had had.)
To give you an idea of how much fell, we skied from the hotel to the lifts one day, down side roads and pavements / tracks with our skis neveer touching ground / rocks or anything other than snow . that is about a 15 minute walk normally.
