Frosty the Snowman, Fence sitting on that a little.
Nothing as beautiful as watching the snow fall while having a break - No wind is high on the priorities - beautiful blue skies and the best snowfall of the year is excellent, hate protracted lengths of bad visibility ( as in more than 30 minutes)
To call between your choices - blue sky, no wind and reasonable snow .
Wengen last week was hard to beat as most had Panda eyes believe it or not !

Anything except rain. If the visibility is bad I do like to be able to head for trees.

Can live with either heavy snow or bluebird days. Worst is cloud which gives flat light but no snow. Last week in Verbier pretty much spot on, heavy snow at start of week but still enough vis to ski, followed by blue skies and deep snow

Same as Agenterre, blue sky, no wind and reasonable snow.
Having "power down" Lauberhorn AND OFF into a pile of heavy snow in total white out, as Elizebath B puts in, I'd prefer to see where I'm going.
Freshies are great. But to really enjoy it requires a bit of light & contrast. Last week in Wengen, I skied off and into things I never would have purposely gonr numerous times. I surprised myself at landing most of them and not getting hurt badly. By the end of the week, I just felt I really used up all my dumb luck skiing blind.

Well, I was in a state of "I think I've died and gone to heaven" on Friday, skiing down through the trees in Vallandry as the snow fell, even though visibility wasn't great. There seemed to be an ethereal quality to the world and the snow underfoot was just dreamy.
Saturday was bright blue skies and the snow was still pretty awesome - WHAT a day.
Sunday was mixed and yesterday there was fresh snow and blue skies.
But I do like my views, so the holidaymaker in me says that I love it when we get the weather we had in Val d'Isere in January. Blue skies every single day. But it was icy underfoot, turning slushy in some patches. So the skier in me says "boo, give me my goggles and my helmet with sheepskin earmuffs and let me get on with skiing in some proper stuff".
I'd have to say on that basis that the weekend I have just spent in Les Arcs was the stuff of prayers.

I like bright blue ski days and also one day of snow storms, low viz and temps below at least -10C for a more complete skiing experience.

I wasn't keen on the conditions that led to an inclined ice rink, and I wasn't keen on very foggy airborne precipitation 'cos it steamed up my goggles/glasses and I couldn't see where I was going

When I moaned about the fog and not being able to see it was insinuated that I was being a whos (sp?) and that as a skier I should be prepared for all sorts of conditions if I want to ski. I was a bit put out at this - surely there's nothing wrong in wanting gorgeous blue skies, sunshine and lovely deep snow as we got last year?

It was rather splendid wasn't it? I also spent the day on the Grand Col, traversing off to the right to find great snow

My best days at L2A last week were in freezing high wind conditions with loads of fresh powder. Gimme the snow any day - although not being able to see the ground did hinder my style a little

I love it when the wind is blowing, the snow and ice is falling, the visibility is fairly poor - gives me that sort of sense of adventure and keeps all the precious types off the mountain.

A bad day in the Mountains, is always better than a good day in the Office. Don't mind what the conditions are like, but would prefer blue sky & powder snow, but would pick the snow over the blue skies.
