Poster: A snowHead

My friend has got a room in a chalet in TIgnes offered to us for 3 days between 23/4 and 6/5 at a really low price, we now just need to get there - and therein lies the problem! We have to get to Geneva late afternoon and return from there early evening 3 days later. The only flights I can find will make the whole thing as expensive as a whole week away as the budget ones seem to stop running mid April.
Anyone got suggestions? We live in the NE Midlands, so ideally would fly from Humberside, Doncaster, E MIds or Manchester.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

May not work, but I'll mention them anyway -
Easyjet flights Bristol-Geneva are about £55 fully inclusive for Sat 28th to Weds 2nd May. Afternoon flights.
Ryanair flights Stansted-Grenoble are about £28 fully inclusive for Sat 28th to Weds 2nd May. Mid-day time flights.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

NewSkier - have a look at www.swiss.com and knock off the "direct flights" option - they'll often offer flights via Zurich for a very good price. It won't be quick, but it'll be cheaper.

NewSkier, try Lyon too. And FlyBE if you haven't.
The problem is that loco carriers sell cheap flights if you book early...and now ain't early!

Again, it won't be bargain bucket, but the Chambery flights with Jet2 are still running from Manchester at that time of year, I believe.
The biggest problem you are going to have, unless there are quite a few of you and you can hire a car, is getting up to Tignes cheaply from the airport. It has often been pointed out on the boards before, but transfers are heavily weighted to weekend arrivals and departures, and outside those times, coach/taxi transfers become prohibitive (unless you can fill an 8-seater taxi).

Thanks - we have transfers on offer if we can get there for them! Looks like Easyjet might be reasonable - looked at Bristol and found they do EMids too. Had not realised they did Geneva. Flybe finish that route mid April.
I just hope the trip comes off, and that there is snow on slopes a nervous novice like me can access!
