Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
I am going to Val d'Isere in a few weeks (24th March - 31st March) but cant seem to locate any dirt cheap flights from Newcastle Airport. Cheapest I can find at the moment is £162.98 to Geneva (return with ski allowance).
Does anyone have any ideas of any sites or anything where I may be able to get such flights for better prices? Also, does anyone happen to know of any good transfer sites from Geneva to Val - I found one site quoting around 90 Euros - anyone know of any better?
Any advice will be welcomed. Many thanks in advance.

sounds a decent price in the scheme of things this season. The southern alps has a service called TransIsere, which seems to get you from places like Grenoble airport to Les Deux Alps for around 12 euros single. I guess the north has something similar

shenryo, It is quite late now for cheap flights. Transfer sounds about right.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

with many cancellations and deferrals from January and February, the tour operators and budget airlines know they have something of a captive audience. For example 500 quid seems to be the basic catered chalet last minute price for high resorts this year, whereas in recent years it has been 350 to 400.

I should worry less about price and more about availability. My flight back from Zurich yesterday was full, and one of the routes I looked at for three weeks' time was sold out for the Sunday return (not a problem as I've decided to come back on the Monday anyway). Ryanair to Grenoble or wherever it is was completely sold out outbound except on the Tuesday (going for a long weekend, so needed a Thursday).

shenryo, Just to put it in perspective, 5 years ago you'd have been delighted with a £160 quid fare. I hope you've booked it as otherwise it'll probably have gone up...
