Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

How to ID resort with best snow conditions AFTER Easter...(want real snow! )

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My limited experience of skiing in Europe AFTER Easter tells me to expect "spring skiing" conditions. i.e. good in the morning, and rapidly becoming slushy and wet in the afternoons.

But are there any resorts ( in Europe, USA or Canada) that have a better chance of having decent snow for the whole day in the weeks after Easter?
I'm looking for a whole resort, not just a glacier.

Thanks!

I have skied Lake Louise on 9th April (2005) and the conditions were absolutely fine all day. The picture here was taken at about 4pm on that day. The marginal conditions sign was reflecting a particularly steep bit that gets scraped to a hard ice finish at all times of the season (we skied down it after the picture was take without any problem). You can just about make out the snow is still white and dry with no sign of slush. Lake Louise regularly stays open in to May so April is never a problem.[/url]

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'd say anything where you can ski at approx 3000m. Get high at lunchtime when the lift queues are smallest.
