Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Snow train booked, arrive early hours Sat 3rd March in Moutier. Just two of us, looking to stay ideally in Meribel, somewhere catered.
Question is this. How last min have people left things in order to get a bargain? Prices now seem to be £140 off or so, I'm guessing we'll get a bit more off for getting ourselves there.
Book next week? Or wait until a couple of days before we go?

, your week is still French school hols in some areas. You might get lucky but if you see something now that suits might just be worth going for it - what there is left may not be there next week
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You will be fine,e-mail as many hotels ,chalets etc a week or so before you go and be prepared to stay down at Brides for a night or two if you cant find anything in meribel.

Yes it is, you'd have more choice, lower prices and less crowded pistes the following week. But it's not one of the Paris weeks - they're the worst. But if you're looking at British tour operators and catered chalets I should think you'd find something - especially if you spread your search area and include places like Courchevel 1650 (much better than Meribel in my prejudiced view!).
