Interested in any on the ground reports re stability of snow pack in Central Switzerland. Was out there a week and a half ago and snowpack was bombproof... now with a few heavy falls of wet snow on a hard base I suspect as with other reports Avy hazard is through the roof. Reports of Avy deaths from French Alps, St Anton would indicate that significant slabs are prevalent.
any news?

fatbob,
Engelberg, icy base with new snow made us bug out quick and I should think there have been heaps since. I have no idea about temps and bondings locally but I can imagine it is pretty dangerous. Andermatt had a better base so it may be quite regional... Needs good advice, I think, and local knowledge.
I am torn between more dumps and a settling down period for our trip....
