Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Very nice resort, village is reasonably small, but with good selection of bars etc.
Travel: 20 mins from Modane, so good easy access
Ski Area: small but plenty of good varied terrain, usually empty slopes.
You also have a few other resorts along the valley, which make good day trips, inc. the Orelle gondola to Val Thorens.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Val frejus is a good modean ski base with a smallish but decent ski area with some excellent runs off from the top gondala staion Punta Bagna i think its called.Easy to get to been both near to b Turin and chambery airports and just off the main motorway, the Frejus tunnel runs underneath the resort.Best idea is to take advatage of the joint lift pass which covers you for nearby La Norma and Aussois giving access to 159kms of skiing, last piece of advice dont bother with Val Thorens link unless the snow is very poor low down- far better and more interessting ski area at Les Karrelis 10 minutes further down the valley

, Perfect just what I wanted to hear, thanks. We have the opportunity to buy a tiny appartment with a few others (3 way share). Good to hear info from others who are not 'over excited '
by the prospect of having a place on the snow!!! Good unbiased info is what I needed. I will copy your posts to the others. Thanks
