Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
I'm new to this forum but have been avidly reading all the articles about zell am see, based partly on the advice here I have booked a holiday to zell for the first week of March.
I was wondering if anyone has used the sport alpin school (http://www.sport-alpin.at/) for private lessons and if so whether you can recommend any of the instructors? - my girlfriend had a bad experience with ski-ing years ago (she didn't have any lessons and so never learned how to stop!) is a bit nervous about going back but still keen to learn. She's going to need a very patient and understanding instructor...
Thanks for your help.

xjenkins, I can highly recommend an instructor at Sport-Alpin for your girlfriend. She's called Axelle, she's Belgian, mid 20's, and excellent with timid beginner / intermediate skiers. My wife was in a similar position having been left on a mountain in Saas Fee by an instructor in a blizzard in only her third, timid week of skiing and her confidence was absolutely shattered to the point of not wanting to go again. Thankfully I managed to talk her into it and we went to Zell.
A few hours with Axelle and it was back... I booked her for 4 mornings and then the follwing season the same. By the end of the second set of lessons my wife had progressed from only being able / prepared to ski easy blues, to skiing her first ever black run, in control and with confidence. She's never looked back and 3 trips later doesn't bat an eyelid at any run in the whole of the Zell / Kaprun area.
I also booked 2 hours with Axelle for my struggling daughter this season at new year. She'd had 3 full days in ski school and stll couldn't turn or stop. Within 2 hours she was skiing the Glocknerbahn blue top to bottom in a controlled snow plow, almost parallel in the traverse. Somehow this girl manages to fill timid skiers with confidence and self belief, makes teaching and learning really good fun, and doesn't seem to care whether she's with a beginner on a nursery or an expert on a ski tour. Instructors like this are hard to find. When you find one, you hang on to them!!! Book her well in advance and be very specific that you want her and nobody else. If you want her mobile number to speak to her directly send me a private message and I'll let you have it.
