Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Atomic Bindings

Have invested in Atomic SX9 - fantastic!! But....when I'm carrying them around the ski brakes don't lock together and they constantly slip apart - a real pain! Am I doing something wrong? Or is this just a quirk of Atomic skis that I've got to get used to?

No, it's normal. I've a few pairs of Atomics and they all do it to various degrees, some are worse than others. It doesn't bother me too much but Mrs Ise uses a ski tie/strap, it annoys her as her Dynastars don't do it.

Cheers, I hoped it was just that there's some sort of special technique! I've got a sling & velcro tie, it's just that they're too fiddly when you're only going a short distance. Never mind - I'll just have to get used to it.

Hmm...the sling is just for when we end up in a cheap hotel which is a seven mile walk uphill to the lifts! It spends most of the time tucked in my suitcase gathering dust - does that get me out of being a punter? Confused

Possibly but it does drag you down to the level of cheapskate, Seven mile walk to the lifts .... may also be in need of psychiatric care Exclamation

Well yes....I was exagerating slightly in my haste to get out of the punter category! But I could count as a cheapskate as it's the only way I can feed my addiction for skiing as often as I do! Which possibly mean I need the psychiatrist anyway to help break free of my obsessions with skiing and Snowheads!

ssh, It doesn't matter which way up they are or how tightly I've jammed them together they slide apart and fall off my shoulder - or try to cut a hole in my neck! But the skis are just great so I'll learn to live with it....

Yes, skis are carried in three ways for non-punter status :

1. Over your shoulder.
2. racked onto a rucksack for a walk/abseil in.
3. on the rack on the roof of the car.

Very Happy
