Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Fly out on sunday and have decided to take the car down instead of the train to prestwick. As far as the car parking goes, is it worth paying the extra £5 to get the car park that's closer to the terminal. The directions to the further away car park made it sound like it was miles away!

, the one beside the railway station is fine, you can go up in the lift and across the covered walkway to the terminal.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

From memory the official long stay car parks are fine. There is another private long distance car park which is a bit cheaper but is about 10 minutes away by bus. I used it last year without too many problems but is a bit bit further away and I didn't find it first time.

Not Prestwick, but Heathrow - I STRONGLY recommend Pink Elephant. Their service is GREAT. I landed late from Boston last Dec 21st in all that freezing fog and stuff to find my car iced up and dead battery - I had left lights on (yes, I can hear you all - what a lady's front bottom!). Anyway i walked to the exit and a guy came out with jump leads straight away, giving me a lift the 1/4 mile back to where I had the car started, waited once we had started mine to make sure all was well and then saw me out the car park. Service as pleasant as that when I was cold tired short tempered made me think that we do something right sometimes in this country.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

booked parking last night. decided to go for car park 4, which is the one further away. turns out - and you only find this out after booking - that car park 4 is closed so you get a free upgrade to car park 3, which is the one right next to the terminal. they don't tell you this at the start of the booking process, so they'll probably be making loads of money from people booking car park 3 when it's £8 more expensive than car park 4 when the folk paying for car park 4 get to park in car park 3 anyway
