Poster: A snowHead
|
Hello, can anyone tell me the resorts that have short transfers from Bourg St Maurice. I'm looking to book a week 17th March and would like to travel by train and then organise my own transfer.
Was looking at Tigne/Val D, but any suggestions welcome.
PS: Went to Meribel in January, so don't want to return there this season.
Thanks.

Obvious one as Cathy so helpfully pointed out is Les Arcs as the funicular runs straight from Bourg, others in the Isere valley: Ste Foy, La Rosiere (hallowed be they name), Vallandry, La Plagne...

Les Arcs is accessable directly via the Funicular.
La Plagne and the rest of the Paradiski are also very easy as it's all linked together under one pass.
Then you have the Trois Vallées and La Rosiere which are short bus/car jouneys from Bourge. You are right in the middle of it all really.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks everyone!
Stayed at Les Arcs last year, but have no problem going back, or to La Plagne. Will get searching into it.

Try Vallandry, best of both worlds (for skiing anyway).

Vallandry & Plan Peisey are only a short (10min taxi) ride from Landry station - most trains stop there before Bourg-St-Maurice.

If u want to go to any of the 3 valleys resorts u get off at Moutiers which is roughly an hour shorter journey than BSM.
For La Plagne get off at Aime.
BSM for Les Arcs, Séez, La Rossiere, Villaroger, St Foy, Tignes/Vd'I.
The funiculaire to Les Arcs (Arc 1600) actually goes from the station, although from the other end of the particularly long platforms (I'd guess close to a km or maybe it just seemed like that in ski boots). If u are staying in one of the other Arcs (1800, 1950 2000) you'll need to get the bus from the top of the Funiculaire.
