Exercises to help breaking in boots??

Im sure this topic will have been covered millions of times, but i cant find anything via the search....


I've had some new boots since just after xmas, and have been trying to break them in as much as possible before i go away next sunday (28th Jan) but the heels of both feet are still going numb, just below the ankel bone after about 20mins of putting them on , and the outside of my left foot near to the ball, goes numb when i ski on my local slope, to the point that its really really painfull when i take the boot off and the blood flows back into the area, stopping me walking on it properly for about 30 - 40mins after.

the boots are head edge 9.8 and i have some green footbeds (i cant remeber the make)

i'm thinking of popping back to the shop before i go away and seeing if they can do anything,

but is there anything i can do at home (apart from clunking around the house trying to avoid scratching the wood floor) that will help speed up the break in process/ possibly strech the heels a fraction?

i thought about putting a hair drier in them to try and heat the liner a bit to see if that would help as i know they are heat fit liners?

any other suggestions? Puzzled Puzzled

I'd defintely pop back to the shop. The boots clearly need refitting.
