Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Staying in between these two resorts and am keen to learn to snowboard with my 10 year old we are both experienced skiers. what I was wondering was, which sowboarding school is the best for absolute beginners? Do they do week long schools like they do with skiing?

Also I am keen to board/ski somewhere safe where the kids cant get lost...they have a tendency to leave me behind so a piste with just one route up and down always makes me feel better. We did Arinsal last year and found that to be really safe for kids...big wide pistes and although there were lots of lifts, they all came back to the bottom within a few hundred yards of each other so it was easy to find each other if one of us got lost

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think there is only one ski school in Andorra and they do not like to teach snowboarding to anyone under the age of 14. They do week long courses, like the rest of Europe.

Both El Tarter and Soldeu are much bigger than Arinsal and, of course they link up. If you stay on the lower levels, they shouldn't get lost too easily.
