Poster: A snowHead
|
Been to the resort before in January and had great snow.
Thinking of doing a late trip this year. I reckon the snow should be as good as anywhere at that time of year. Any experiences?
Also anyone been to Bellavista apartments H/B? Or Primula Hotel
Coming up at around £250.00 each from Belfast which is pretty good value. Even if the food is shoite it is still a good price.

johnboy, We stayed in the Bellavista appartments but it was a few years (6?) ago now. From what I remember, beds weren't brilliantly comfortable (old matresses but they may have changed them by now) but the food was excellent. You eat in the restaurant and get the same quality food (although not as many choices) as the paying public. At £250, I'd go for it!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

johnboy, stayed in the annex across the road a good few years ago. As maggi, said, food is excellent but limited if you're on a package . . . hell, you have to go a long way down the skills scale to screw up pasta or pizza. Bit of a walk down to the main town and a bit of a walk to the lifts, but the bus stops outside the door. Snow can be fantastic at the end of the season, but this year, Lord knows.

johnboy,
What date you going on, heading there with a group of 14/15 on the 17th March from Belfast.
Staying in L’ables apartments (Anyone been in them before?). Someone else organised it and it cost £430 including equipment hire and ski pass and insurance.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I've been there twice at the beginning of April, all runs were open & snow was generally good.
